The academic year runs from October to August and is divided into two semesters, each of roughly fifteen teaching weeks followed by a university examination period.
This almanac is the authoritative statement of dates for registration, teaching, assessment, examinations, results, graduation and university holidays. Where a faculty or programme operates its own timetable, that timetable sits within the dates below and never outside them.
