Dean of Students - Overview
The Dean of Students’ Office provides leadership in promoting students’ welfare, engagement, and holistic development at Ruaha Catholic University (RUCU). The office oversees all aspects of student life, including counselling, discipline, co-curricular and extracurricular activities, student support services, and campus wellbeing initiatives. It also mentors and supports various student clubs, including religious, academic, and social clubs, fostering personal growth, teamwork, and community engagement.
Working closely with academic and administrative units, as well as student organizations, the Dean of Students ensures a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment that encourages ethical conduct and academic success. The office actively promotes leadership development by creating opportunities for students to assume leadership roles, participate in governance, and contribute to decision-making processes, thereby building leadership skills, accountability, and civic responsibility. Through these efforts, the Dean of Students’ Office plays a central role in enhancing the student experience, promoting social responsibility, and supporting the university’s mission of nurturing well-rounded, competent, and socially conscious graduates
