Appointment of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic Affairs)

Ruaha Catholic University (RUCU) is pleased to inform the University community and the general public that the Tanzania Episcopal Conference (TEC) has appointed Professor Willy Lazaro Komba as Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic Affairs), with effect from 1 August 2026.

Professor Komba is a distinguished education scholar who holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Education from the University of London Institute of Education. He has served in various senior academic leadership positions, including Head of Department, Faculty Dean, College Principal, and Chairperson of the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), bringing extensive experience in higher education management and academic leadership.

RUCU congratulates Professor Willy Lazaro Komba on his appointment and wishes him success as he leads the University's academic affairs toward greater excellence in teaching, research, innovation, and community engagement.
